CDV is the research arm of the Czech Ministry of Transport. It provides activities of safety
improving, including the human factor, engineering, information activities, innovations of
legislative tools, consultations for traffic and school unions. This task is the object for
Department of social and human problems of traffic. Its specialisation contents traffic safety from
the view of human factor, traffic behaviour and psychological capability of drivers, working and
professional conditions of drivers, driver population's attitudes to traffic safety aspect,
analyses of traffic accidents, activities to legal measures. Personal occupation is two researches,
with experience from international projects, as SARTRE 1 a 2, GADGET,
ESCAPE.
Dr.
Vlasta Rehnova studied Psychology at the University of Charles in Prague. She is also graduated
in short studies of journalism and traffic psychology. She started her practice as researcher at
Faculty of journalism, since 1980 has worked as traffic psychologist in the field of driver
assessment and selection, traffic safety. She has experience of elderly drivers, effect of illness,
driver behaviour, analysis of traffic accidents. Et CDV she participates in research projects
related to drivers attitudes, behaviour, aspects of traffic safety and the formulation of a new
legislation according human factor in road traffic.
